Razer Smartphone Image Leaked !

The wait for a Razer Smartphone might be finally over.

As the speculations of a Razer smartphone was in the air, the image of their phone has been leaked before their announcement on Nov 1. Ever since Razer took over the smartphone startup- Nextbit, who was behind the successful Kickstarter phone: the Robin, the preparation for a smartphone has been going on. Slovakian blog TechByte has posted the photo of the Razer smartphone’s back-side.

The smartphone appears to be simple in design with the Razer logo on the back but it is expected to focus on the gaming-angle. There is only one image out and according to the leak, it will have a 5.7 inch, 16:9 QHD display, powered by Snapdragon 835, 8GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a dual 12MP rear and an 8MP front camera. It will be interesting to see if the logo is a backlit one with Razer’s signature green light.

In June 2017, CEO of Razer – Tan Min-Liang said:

Right now I don’t see any mobile device or software platform that really fulfills the needs of the [mobile] gamer … there is a huge opportunity to disrupt the mobile market.

So the release of a smartphone wouldn’t be a big surprise now after the leak of the image of the smartphone. However, right now, we can only keep on guessing what they are actually upto and wait for the official announcement next month.
